About the upcoming release Rakugo 2.1.0


Happy new year to everyone.

I am sorry for the lack of posts and updates for so long, but the work started not long ago overwhelmed me. Fortunately, I changed it to another one :D I remind you that you  can now support Rakugo thought   and   .

About the upcoming release Rakugo 2.1.00

Originally, version 2.1.00 was to give the opportunity to create adventure games (point & click) in addition to visual novel. But the changes that I make now are quite big, and in particular the fact that the large GUI will not be a singleton anymore, but a scene attached to others - it will facilitate the creation of games from genres other than visual novel from Rakugo. By the way, I can also change version numbering to 4 digits, which will be useful because I have an idea for a lot of small improvements graphical tools. The previous version 2.1.0 now becomes version 2.2.00.

Other important upcoming changes:

  •  Fixes for Godot 3.2 compatibility (wip)
  • Better RakugoMenu (wip)
  • Emoji Panel -> Emoji window (done)
  • New ScenesLinks Edit window (done)
  • New Rakugo Project Setting window (almost done)
  • Correct all ScenesLinks miss spelling (done)
  • Add link to open RakugoDocs
  • Files * .themes -> *.tres (done)
  • Use simpler solution than git submodules - it will make esier to contribute (done)
  • Add pause on punctuation like in Ace Attorney games request by Crystalwarrior on discord (todo)
  • Make gui non-longer a singleton (todo)
